Filedge is built for small business owner-operators in Canada. We keep this policy short and in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@filedge.ca and we'll explain.

What we collect

We collect the information you enter into Filedge so the app can do its job:

• Your account details — name, email, and business name.
• The records you add — CRA deadlines, receipts, and business mileage entries.
• Bookkeeper invites you create, and who has access to your records.

How we use it

We use your information to run the app — to show your deadlines, store your receipts and mileage, and let a bookkeeper you invite see the records you share with them. We use your email to send you account and billing messages. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your records

Only you and the people you invite. When you share an invite code, your bookkeeper can review your records and manage your deadline filings. You can revoke that access at any time from your settings, and they lose access immediately.

Payments

Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number — Stripe processes it directly. We keep a record of your subscription status so we know whether your account is active.

Keeping it secure

Your data is stored on secured servers and encrypted in transit. We limit access to the small number of people who need it to operate and support the service.

Your choices

You can view, correct, or export your records from within the app. If you close your account, you can ask us to delete your data and we will, except where we're required to keep certain records by law. Email info@filedge.ca for any of this.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where it matters, let you know by email.
